Carestream scanner allows us to scan high resolution digital impressions. It replaces the gooey impression material previously used to take impressions for crown/bridge treatment, sleep apnea appliances and orthodontic records. The scanner takes a series of pictures/images and tiles them together to make a model files stored on the computer. They are sent to the dental lab, making treatment workflow comfortable for the patient.
